Golf courses at Hotel La Manga Principe Felipe

North Course

The three courses at La Manga Club are composed of the South Course, the North Course, and the West Course. The La Manga Golf North Course is wide and relatively short, ideal for high to mid handicappers, yet remains a great test of golf for all levels.

18-holes, par-71, 6289 yards. Parkland.

The La Manga Golf Club North Course is slightly shorter than the South but has tighter fairways and larger greens. This undulating course is positioned between palm trees, lakes, and barrancas (natural gullies) with precision rather than length required to score well. Built to USGA specification, the amount of movement in the greens adds to the challenge, especially the short par-3 2nd, which has three different tiers.

South Course

Hotel La Manga Principe Felipe and La Manga Las Lomas Village offer three onsite Championship golf courses that form part of the amazing La Manga Club complex. The North Course is the easiest of the three courses and is ideal for high to mid handicappers. The longer and water-filled South Course, and tighter woodland West Course, are a true test for confirmed players.

18-holes, par-73, 6998 yards. Parkland.

Originally designed by Robert Putman and modified by Arnold Palmer, the La Manga Golf South Course underwent a complete refurbishment in 2004. The main changes include added water hazards, tree plantation, and green alterations, thus making the South Course more of a challenge to discerning golfers. The course is located in the centre of the valley and features wide palm-fringed fairways, a number of strategically positioned bunkers, and plenty of cunning water hazards. The front nine is probably the tougher, with two par-3s measuring over 215 yards and some daunting par- 4s, many of which demand accurate driving between lakes and bunkers.

West Course Overview

Style: Parkland

La Manga Golf Club boasts three fantastic golf courses, the South Course, the North Course and the West Course. The championship South Course is the tougher test, with long holes and plenty of water hazards. The North Course is shorter, wider, and ideal for a first round. The West Course requires precise shot making, with narrow fairways protected by trees and ravines. All guests can stay at the Hotel La Manga Principe Felipe or the La Manga Las Lomas Village.

The La Manga Golf Resort West Course requires a different approach to the other two courses - the fairways are narrow and gullies are deceptively placed to catch golfers out. The blind spots and frequency of elevation changes make this an ideal challenge for the more tactical golfers. The front 9 holes require accurate drives due to the tight fairways - however this is a different story on the back nine as the fairways are open, but with more hills. To add to the excitement, the views as you play this La Manga Golf Course are magnificent and the par-3s are truly memorable. The 18th hole is a great finish to the golf course - the highly elevated tee box has stunning views of the resort and Murcia.
